Born in Japan, Tomo Nakajima began his career in Tokyo Japan at the prestigious salon PEEK-A-BOO.
In 1998, he moved to New York and joined the SALLY HERSHBERGER as a senior hairstylist since 2004. He is known for giving singer JOAN JETT her rocker chic cut. His signature style is a shag, edgy short, bob and specializes in men’s haircuts.
He has worked on an impressive list of celebrities, including DAPHNE RUBIN-VEGA, ELIZABETH DEBICKI, MIRANDA KARR to name just a few. His creations have been strutting down the runways of top designers such as MARC JACOBS, TOMMY FILFIGER, NANEEN KHAN and more.
